Silly question - would my MacBook Pro run Arma 3

So, I have a Macbook. It's silver with a black screen.

Apparently, it has bits inside of it called:

2.7 GHz Intel Core i5

16 GB 1867 MHz DDR3

Intel Iris Graphics 6100 1536 MB

Yes, yes, yes, I know it's not a gaming puter - I have a kick arse rig for that. BUT, would this run Arma3? I have parallels with win 10 installed - I've tried Arma and it runs like shit (I've not had a stab at the settings yet). Anyone tried this? Would bootcamp be better? Am I pissing in the wind? Should I just accept that sometimes, I should live without Arma3? Should I stop masturbating over midget porn?

I need answers people!

What operating system does it use? As far as I know arma does not work OS X. If you used bootcamp then maybe (?), laptops tend not to be ideal for arma due to the hefty system requirments

No, I have the same MacBook Pro and it will not, they ain't for gaming haha

Never stop masturbating over midget porn #LittlePeopleCanBeSexyToo

I know @Tommuses Bootcamp and it works good for him, he uses an iMac though.. I wouldn't recommend playing arma 3 with that kind of hardware I just don't think you'll get an enjoyable experience

it might, I tried running it in a VM on my 13 inch macbook and its safe to say it is completley unplayable. If you dual boot it may be playable on lowest settings but it wouldnt be much better.

It has windows 10 on it using parrellels but it kinda sits within OSX - not boot up as windows 10 as such. But that confirms it then, I'll not waste my time with it!

Thanks folks!

You could stream it from your PC using steam stream, as long as you're on the same network that is.

I'd use my PC then! I was thinking about a cheeky session when I'm travelling away, but clearly, it's a no go! lol
I would be surprised if it were playable tbh. Not actually tried it outside of a LAN environment, I used it to drive left or right randomly whilst somebody was playing Trackmania at a Lan party :D :D

You could get the police to escort you to the front desk and not move, you could be an injured officer on desk work and just use your mic to help deal with requests and improve relations with the populace of Kavala. It's actually quite annoying to goto the police station to have nobody there, you can end up waiting 20 min only for a police officer to respawn there, run off and not bother talking to you :(

Ha! Yeah, I'll abandon the laptop idea. I'll stick to my PC on my lan. :)

However, I do like desk work! Sometimes, if I'm on my own, i'll stay at the police station and wait for 'customers'. It can be immensely fun (except the long periods of boredom lol)

Answer to your question, yes you can use an Apple laptop or desktop. I use an IMac myself, get windows on bootcamp and it works just fine but obviously its all dependent on your macs hardware. Dont use a VM on mac as you will have much worse performance, if you do it then use a Bootcamp!

Have fun
