Horrible 1st experience

Could probably start my own gang at this rate - The 'Come at me Bro's'.  

It has been suggested to me RobEire, but I wanted to try and get a feel for the game 1st as I'd never even played Arma before.  

To be fair, the people who have been nice, Have been amazing. Especially the Cops I have encountered, and the guy who said I looked skinny so gave me 3 apples and 2 Unprocessed Weeds.

I could just buy a house in the green zone... Or park a camper van there...

Well I hope you stick with it and come out a successful altis civilian/rebel. 

Should definitely consider joining up with a gang so they can show you the ropes and all that sort of stuff.

Let me end on a positive note.  

As a result of being pillaged so often, I am naturally wary of everyone now.   

I tried to do a copper run - Got to the mine ok, Filled up my little box truck and headed forth to the Multi-Factory. On the way, as these things happen, Cars whizz past, and I spot a energy branded sport hatch whizz past. Thought nothing of it. I then see a car with the same awful paint job parked in the road up ahead, so I slow down suspiciously. Sure enough in the distance I see 2 lad crouching with pistols.  

Balls to that, I three point it, and High tail it out of there seeking refuge back at Kavala Car Park, all the while with bullets bouncing off the truck. So.. It's like that.  

I wait around till night then try again. This time, I'n getting near the fuel station by the turning, and a truck comes down the road - No biggy. At the last second he swerves and ploughs into me, killing him and damaging my truck so badly that it won't move. about 3 seconds later, a guy walks form around his truck and starts shooting. Killing me in my whole face.  

I see that the medic is like 750m away, so I choose to wait. He's not moving after a few mins, And I see a cop arrive and look into the truck. Everything goes mental, and My truck is impounded. Goodbye Copper Ores   

No movement from the medic so I respawn. Spend yet another stack of cash on a backpack/GPS/repair kit and retrieving the van. Get robbed at the clothes store. Back to the ATM, Back to the General and Clothes store. Pop to the car shop to see prices and it's that guy again - Wont mention Masons name out of privacy, Get Robbed of all my nothing (Left everything in the bank). Back to Kavala Square.  

Started chatting with a guy who said he would help me out - Again, I'm suspicious, but I have nothing to lose. He brings his Tempest and we head to the mine. He mines up a truckful of copper for me and another lad, and we head to the factory. Enroute, we hit a firefight and the other lad got caught in it. I manage to speed through towards the factory, but then that stupid Red Chain of doom appears on the right of the screen. 

My game ends. 

I go and get some pancakes and enjoy them.

I log back in and I'm copperless, so I think 'Fuck it, one more time' And I'm glad I did. Read on...

So I go again. Mine the copper and head towards the factory. I see my friends in their sports car again, so nobly turned tail, and bravely ran away. They chased me, but they were no match for my box truck.  Told some people in Kavala square, and they said 'Fuck yeah' And headed up the road. I followed a few mind later, and sure enough, Those chavvy thieves were hands on head by the side of the road.  

I hasten to the factory, Jubliant in the fact that I get to actually do this. When I arrive, I hear someone telling me to put my gun down.  

Its ok, Its some cops! (I think - They were masked and drove the dark blue cars) They say they will cover me, and escort me to the trader.. Bonza!

As it was my 1st time, I forgot that I needed 20k for the licence, So I ask the kind officers to escort me to the ATM. They couldnt be bothered so they dropped 100k on me! I was like.. Whaaaat!  

Got to processing, and I hear the cops say 'Hey, Whats this in the back of your van?...' Boom... a really large amount of money appeared in my pocket. Really large. They then Escort me to an ATM to offload this fortune, which happens to be gunfight all around - Deposited! Then straight to the Metal trader to sell the copper aswell.  

All in all, Happy with todays adventure, and am now looking at ze choppers.

Still, If people want to read, I shall provide - Assuming more interesting stuff happens.

I think the big reason it annoys me so much is that the stores some of them are targeting are the newbie stores - Where you need your 5k to get a backpack, or 20k to buy a car - In my mind, these things are pretty essential to the game, and the people going to these stores have either just been killed or just started the game. So they do a round of Car Shop, General Store, Clothing Store - If someone is wearing an awful polo shirt and shorts - Give the brother a break! you are literally ruining a persons game for a few k. If you are such a 'Big Man' Go after someone who is worth it - Take on a gang or someone who is dressed like they might carry around 50-100k - Robbing new people is just cowardly.

I might hit you up for that. My intention is to pick up a chopper when I'm on later tonight - Thanks to the random money you guys found in the back of my van... It will at least let me scout the area out before committing to landing. Once I'm used to that, I'll try to move on up to riskier (Legal) endeavours - Like Diamonds. It's now a matter of pride that I won't farm illegal stuff!

IF it's in the govt building, parking lot, garage, or general 'kavala square' area and they rob/kill/steal your car/etc. you it's against the rules (reading some of your adventures it looks like about 1/2 of them are in that area). The green circles on the map are safe zones.

• (6.1) You are unable to kill anyone in a green zone (Punishment is a ban)
  (6.2) Weapons must be holstered inside greenzones at all times.
  
  (6.3) You are unable to rob/knockout anyone in a greenzone (Punishment is a ban)
  
  (6.4) You are unable to lockpick or steal vehicles in a greenzone (Punishment is a ban)
  
  (6.5) If you are in active combat you are unable to run into the green zone to avoid being killed/robbed (Punishment is a ban)
  

If they do this to you, you have 2 routes you can take if you wish:

1.) Try to talk it out with them and let them know, and request they reimburse you for what you lost.
2.) If they refuse to, or just refuse to talk to you at all, you can report them for admins to step in and deal with them.

I'm aware of all this, but in reality It's so much faff for what is probably just a Newbie not knowing that he can't just jump into my car at the garage. I could spend my time whining in-game - But generally for the cost of what I usually lose I could spend that faff time getting stocked back up and getting on with it.

If something really bad happens, you better believe I'm reporting it. The hardest part is just everyone cavalier and casual attitude about SHOOTING a random person in the head and KILLING them. I mean, They are ok with MURDERING someone without a seconds thought - From an RP perspective, They'd be pretty messed up in the head by now!

And I'm back! Currently awaiting a medic - I cant be bothered to have to re-stock Bag and shiz.  

This was simple. Went to the truck place to buy a truck. Checked the price, Drove the the ATM. Got out of the car, heard a faint northern accent '...on head, do not shoot.. do not shoot'. As I was trying to comply (Pressed the wrong PTT button) He shot me. So I lie bleeding at the truckshop ATM. and He probably nicked my gun. I suppose in his eyes, he gave me enough time to comply, but I didn't hear the start of his threat. I suppose he didn't tell me he was going to shoot me though, there is that. Ah well.

Back to the start again. Might even last longer than 3 mins this time!

Both me and my son had a rough start, but no where near as bad as you. It sounds like all you have to do is walk outside, and someone blackjacks before you even make it to the sidewalk . Sounds like you need a pack of bodyguards just to go buy milk at the store 

On a note of your last experience, nothing annoys me more than the people that RP consists of "I said 5 words in your direction, so therefore it's not RDM". I understand a mugging is suppose to be 'get the goods and run'. But hell give people 10 seconds to realize they are being mugged.

It seems like it. If i was on one of the other servers, this wouldnt have happened and I've not heard gunshots in the area since. Was literally the exact wrong place at the exact wrong time. Still dead! 30 mins now. 0 Medics online - I think there might be a treasury job, so the medics may have relogged as cops for it.

Next time, If you are screwed try asking people to lend you a truck (not on side ofc), I'm pretty sure a lot of people will be pleased to ear a new entrepreneur that life never helped but who is still determined after all those failures; And Who Is still ready to go forward and wants to continue working as if nothing happened to him.

(There is still some human being left on Altis, you just have to search for them.

tips: look for big gangs, I pretty sure some of them members who have plenty money on side and will be happy to help a hobo like you who aint all about stabbing people or selling weed.)
