I'm new to this mod, where do I buy a weapon for personal defense?

Zaros is the closest one. But a license is expensive and it will bring you into situations you may use it, and shouldn't. Be sure to up on the rules VERY carefully and do not end up as the next new player who found out how to get a gun, used it in a wrong way and got banned

Buy a Firearms license from the DVLA, then go to a "Handguns" shop on the map to buy your weapon.
