Police now camp the cocaine field road too

Well, you know these cops are usually very mean, but they have reached a whole new level. They had not enough with camping the drug dealer, the cocaine field and the cocaine processing, they now camp roads next to the cocaine field with BARBED WIRES. In real life, no cop uses spikes unless they are told that something is going to happen because any vehicle that passes gets his wheels broken and they will most likely be innocent, so this is very unrealistic and has nothing to do with roleplaying, but fuck roleplaying, most cops are here just for the money, they are like bandits but the law is on his side. What do you think about this?

EDIT: I noticed the helicopter I saw while I started gathering cocaine was the same that cops had, so what they did was waiting until I had more cocaine and block the road, nice job, so realistic...

-Police money has no bearing because everything they have is free.

-They patrol drug dealers frequently, because they are in their designated towns.

-The RCU(Road Crime Unit) can and will drive up and down the roads leading to and from drug fields and processing.

-As you said the spike strip was to block you because the airborne unit(I-99/NPAS) saw you gathering cocaine and set a trap.

This is all normal. It is overcome by stealth, offroading, distraction, or sheer force.

Yeah but they just know how to camp everything related to cocaine and meanwhile, at Kavala/Athira, there are constant deadmatches and nothing happens. I've been caught with cocaine four times in two days but I've killed like twenty people at the main cities (rping, of course) and just got caught once cause there is no police at cities, or at least, not as much as there should be, so you should focus first on protecting the people and then the illegal activities.

Kavala has always been a mess because of trolls and cashpoint campers. Athira is a ghost town so the police usually patrol the town and the airport back and forth.I'm kind of surprised anyone was there to be honest.

I'm a long standing rebel and typically don't need to kill many people to get my way,so protection is not in my needs or interests as I'm doing the illegal activities.

Got caught again at the cocaine field's road, meanwhile in Kavala there is people rdming/vdming, fuck these cops, seriously.

you do know you can roleplay your way out of almost all situations? Yes, drug running is one of them. If you outsmart us, in a good way off course, you are most likely to get away with it :)

Thats not very nice.

Anyway yes there RDM and VDM going on in kavala, and the cops do a bloody good job trying to keep it under control when really thats a server bannable offence and in a perfect world there would be a system that could work out and ban them on the spot.

I offer you the chance to play as cop for 1 day and ill stick you in kavala with one other guy and see how long it takes you to break when your a CSO. If you think policing kavala is easy or in other words is enjoyable, 70% of the time its a drag. There is nothing worse than finally RPing with someone in kavala and then you both get run over.

For the love of god its alot more fun catching these crims who think they can simply drive down the same road 24/7 running drugs. We have people that text in every few mins about the type of vehicle, how many guys and where they currently are in reference to drug runners. Most of the time catching a drug run is far more enjoyable and offers alot more roleplay, than being VDM'd in kavala.

For the love of god, im literally at bursting point. Sometimes it really would be easier to just pack up and leave.

Do something spontaneous, go down a different road, have back up in a heli, transport drugs along the coast line, or simply roll up to the roadblock, learn to RP and talk your way out of it. There have been many times ive stopped a box hemmit, obviously knowing the guys name, i know exactly whats in the truck, but the level of RP is so good i simply have to let him go, i find that more enjoyable than all you drug runners seeing a cop car and making a mad dash for it, instantly meaning you are presumed guilty.

Holy shit people are in for a bumpy ride today if they come to me.

Altis Police Department, is broken up onto several branches:

Athira

Kavala

Neochori

Road Crime Unit (RCU)

As well some specialisations:

Coastguard (CG)

National Police Air Service (NPAS)

Tactical Firearms Unit (TFU)

This means that we can patrols specific places, area's and roads all at the same time! And RCU can be anywhere they're a road really. Just because you're getting arrested somewhere while bad things are happening somewhere else, doesn't mean no-one is working there. If all the cops went to Kavala because of RDM/VDM (even though it's not in most peoples patrol routes), you could gather, process and sell your drug without any interference from the police.

However, when you shot at or held at gun point, first thing you'd do is call the police to help you. And if we're all at Kavala, it will probably be too late. And then you still wouldn't be happy.

Bottom line is, we spread out into multiple area's. Kavala is always going to be full of RDM/VDM'ers, as well as rebels attacking the civs/each other/the police. If Drug's aren't working out, might I suggest the peaches field near Athira, they're lovely this time of year...

I know its frustrating but to be honest it feels realistic to me, the police are not going to arrest someone before a crime has been committed now are they? They will observe and once they got enough on you they will rock up.

To me its hardly surprising the police patrol known areas of crime hot spots, and other rebel groups camp them and kill/rob other criminals too... It's a tough old Altis Life and imo you cant stop the police camping there without stopping the rebels too and really that's not going to happen.

My interactions with the police has been when I've had the most fun in the game, the majority of other players it's 'get on the ground' or 'drop your weapons' then your robbed or just killed, it can get very Zzzzzz tbh.  I do have to agree though that Kavala is a problem but I just get my car and bugger off to the shops in a town where battle royale isn't taking place as quickly as possible.

So imho give the police a break, if they are catching you in your drug runs adapt,rp or move on. Police haven't caused me problems once with drug runs, certain bandit groups have been a source of great frustration quite a few times so I adapted instead.

I do so love it when people get all pissy with the cops for doing their job rather well, whilst they (the drug-runner or other half-arsed criminal) is making a royal mess of their so-called 'life of crime'.

For what it's worth, it is NOT the job of the cops to deal with RDM and VDM, anywhere on the server. Technically, it's an admin task, but for various reasons (mostly, staffing numbers and the fact that it's a volunteer role)  we cannot hope to cover all areas of the map 24/7 with admins looking for and dealing with RDM/VDM. Even when we do have multiple admins online simultaneously, the chances are that one of them will be busy helping some lost twat who toasted his vehicle and hasn't worked out how to find the repair kit, or compensating some other person whose heli exploded (with them in it) due to a momentary net-lag-out.

It will never be possible to combat every instance of RDM/VDM - even as admin.

The fact that SOME cops spend a LOT of time tracking down and dealing with RDM/VDM criminals* is a feather in the police force's collective cap. They are heroes for doing this. They are not REQUIRED to do it, nor are they EXPECTED to do it, but when they do it, do they ever get any thanks? Rarely. Mostly from the admins. Sadly, other players tend to think it's the police's job - but it IS NOT.

*I say 'criminals' when talking about RDM/VDMers, but technically, they aren't. Within the context of the game, they are no longer roleplaying, so they are not really 'proper' criminals, as far as the game and other players is concerned. They are not playing criminal roles; they're just lamers wasting everybody's time and trashing the good roleplayers who are caught in the crossfire (or direct action).

Once you've been here a while, you'll start to recognise the better places to go to avoid the cops when drug-running, or how to get yourself out of a tricky situation without landing yourself in deeper water (by roleplaying well and misdirecting the cops). Likewise, you'll usually stay out of Kavala unless there are shedloads of admins and cops online in that area - which isn't always easy to tell.

We made a giant red-zone for the lunatics to do their RDM/VDM with impunity, but sadly, it still doesn't work. They prefer to engage people who can't fight back, in areas that are supposed to be reserved for 'normal' civilian activities. Thus, they fit the textbook definition of 'utter wanker'. And this is why, when admins DO catch them, or get sufficient good-quality reports, they BAN THE SILLY FUCKERS.

So - don't whine. Report, avoid, innovate. You'll live longer and have more fun.

i tried to outsmart one of the RCU guys by driving off on to a hill and then telling them they had to call the kavala police becase i wasent on a road so they could arrest me

Nice try, but then we could get you under Section 34 of the Road Traffic Act 1988 for driving offroad ;)

Any officer from any unit can make arrests, even if it's not on their patrol route or even in their area. Was a nice try, but RCU (or anyone else) can still make the arrest if they catch you anywhere in Altis, even the red zone!

Now is not about drug transport/rp skills, cops have been camping cocaine processing for 2 hours and still counting (luckily I haven't got caught cause I'm still waiting). This is not fun.

Give us names and locations of who you believe are camping.

Screenshots will be helpful.
