Is taking peoples gear by circumventing the anti-loot script allowed?

Are you able to confirm this?

I'm just a bit surprised by your statement on:

The guy in the video is clearly circumventing the anti-looting script in order to take a persons clothing (normally you can only take dropped guns, etc).

Are you able to confirm that this is not a bannable offence?

It should be bannable, if not, everyone would abuse this glitch and because of this people will just respawn instead of waiting for the medic, which will make them lose all the gear + it would be a pain in the ass for medics.

It says you are not allowed to loot dead bodies.. Yet almost everyone knows how to get in the inventory anyway by now (still I am not gonna say it here lol).. It seems that is glitching straight on.. Maybe a rule update to specify this, but wouldnt the no glitching rule describe this perfectly? I can understand the occasional mistake if someone somehow manages to get into the inventory by just opening it the normal way, but im pretty sure the guy used the same trick everyone does to open the inventory, fully aware of it not being allowed.

Me no understand why no ban.

I believe the script was made to prevent people from looting dead police, although I think it should be allowed to loot a dead civ or rebel if they didn't cooperate in a robbery or something.

Funny thing, i have been giving warnings about not doing it, because it was bannable :/

shit fon, sry tripple post :/

There is a script in place to stop people looting bodies, circumventing the script is exploiting, and there are already rules against exploiting. Simple as that for me.

Thinking maybe admin did not watch the video, and thought when you said taking loot you meant Y menu items,  and not your backpack/ uniform

The 'loot bodies' option was taken out a long time a go, presumably to stop people killing others just for the gear. Using a glitch to get around the way the server is coded, in my eyes, breaks rule 1 - no cheating, exploiting or hacking. I will continue to make reports if I see this, until it becomes a rule, or until the looting of dead bodies is reinstated (which I think would be a bad idea).

This is in fact a bannable offense under the rule that Dain pointed out. Now there's two versions of it - some admins ban even if you rearm on the bodies after taking their weapon (taking the weapon is not against the rules in anyway) to get their ammo as well - and some don't. What is sure is that everyone of them will ban you if you use the glitch to access their inventory to take clothes, backpacks etc.
