People bring up all the time that the higher ranks are inactive, no sense of urgency to change anything. Appreciate the consideration though.
Just need a shift around of some mid-tier ranks so people are motivated to keep playing and get new stuff. Hitting a brick wall atm tbh.

yes, they bring up higher ranks are inactive, but not what we can do to change that fact and make them active again

It allows for people to progress. If you join a faction, get stuck at a rank, and then cant go higher people get bored and leave. This is obviously gonna be more common for people stuck in lower ranks too. Idk how long it takes to go from Prob PC to PC to SGT to INS, but that may be something to look into too. Nobody likes being at a low rank and stuck there for a long time

That is the problem. Prob PC to PC should be doable in a week. Pc to SGT(assuming they are competent) in a month. AFAK these ranks are unlimited, and as such people shouldn't be getting held back for such lengths of time. I was speaking to a guy in my gang and he laughed when he realised how long it takes to progress and said fuck that. Slow progression is one of the biggest drawbacks of the police IMO. it isnt an issue for those who become a PC and go straight into AR or NCA, but for those unable to get into a spec unit, it just makes it crap

sgt is only unlimited for academy, pc is unlimited for obvious reasons, and either way i agree

Maybe it is worth considering SGT to have unlimited slots, and then in academy there is unlimited INS as that way it allows for the basic progression without a barrier due to the slots being filled.
Also, if slots are an issue isn't it time to crack down on activity and give them 2 weeks or something(unless they have genuine reasons to be inactive), and tell them it will be cracked down on. Make some sort of activity policy(with exceptions for certain people with valid reasons on an individual basis) if common sense on some decent activity standards does not work. This way, people will either start to play again, or people will step down and let people who want to play take the positions. Poseidon doesn't have activity problems because all of the people who hold different positions enjoy the server and continue to play actively.
